In light of the water crisis facing the Gaza Strip, and the damage to water networks and infrastructure, thousands of families and displaced persons face daily difficulties in obtaining the necessary water for drinking and basic uses, which increases their suffering and threatens their health and living stability.
The Minbar Al-Aqsa International Foundation aims, through the Water Well Drilling and Rehabilitation Project in Gaza, to provide sustainable water sources for families and displaced persons by drilling new wells and rehabilitating damaged and non-operational wells, contributing to improving access to water for residents and reducing their reliance on unsafe sources.
The project includes well drilling, maintenance of existing wells, installation of pumps and necessary equipment for their operation, and rehabilitation of the associated distribution networks when needed, while ensuring water quality testing and confirming its suitability for intended use.
The project focuses on providing long-term solutions to the water crisis in Gaza, enhancing the capacity of affected communities to meet their daily needs, and improving their health and living conditions.
The cost of drilling or rehabilitating one well: 2,500 USD.
